Why Fort Lauderdale is a Great Place to Study Language

Fort Lauderdale is situated in south Florida, which is the gateway from the U.S. to the Caribbean and Latin America. This location has resulted in a diverse population. At this time, 1.6 million residents are foreign-born and one in four speaks a different language at home. American parents are concerned with their children's ability to function in the ever changing job market in the area. As a result, they hire private tutors for their children to learn foreign languages. In addition, more schools are beginning to incorporate languages than ever before. The variety of cultures represented in the population makes Fort Lauderdale a wonderful place to experience languages and culture while pursuing a foreign language degree.
